UCSF Body Imaging: Abdominal & Thoracic 2019

UCSF Body Imaging: Abdominal & Thoracic is organized by The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Office of Continuing Medical Education and will be held from Jan 20 - 25, 2019 at Fairmont Orchid, Hawaii, Waimea, Hawaii, United States of America. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Course Objectives :
At the completion of this course, the attendee should be able to:
• Diagnose common causes of acute pelvic pain in nonpregnant women;
• Recognize the appearance of ectopic pregnancy;
• Utilize ultrasound to identify fi ndings suggestive and definitive of pregnancy failure in the fi rst trimester;
• Diff erentiate common solitary liver masses;
• Describe the proper management of a renal incidentaloma;
• Evaluate the small and large bowel in patients with abdominal pain;
• Diagnose common and atypical pancreatic masses;
• Apply updated guidelines for the diagnosis and management of lung nodules and lung cancer;
• Recognize typical and atypical appearance of thoracic emergencies including pulmonary embolism and acuteaortic syndromes;
• Diff erentiate pathologic conditions from benign incidentalomas and mimics in the lungs, heart and mediastinum;
• Apply standard terminology to improve description and classifi cation of interstitial lung disease, small airways disease and bronchiectasis on HCRT

Note :
Five half-day morning sessions Sunday thru Friday, with a full day off on Wednesday.
